Band News:
New Square Dance Caller - Our own Goldie Keys. Beginning September 2022, our own, Goldie Keys, officially began her new career as a Square Dance Caller. She has been practicing for awhile at the CPCA (Central PA Callers Association) Dances but September 24 was her first square dance to call the whole night. What a great job she did. We are so excited to have square dancing in our schedule with our own caller. We also have a new temporary bass player, Joyce Cassel, for square dances so Goldie can concentrate on calling. Temporary means Goldie is hoping to be able to continue play bass while calling dances as she becomes more familiar with the dance calls. So, a big Welcome to Joyce for helping us during this time of transition and learning.
New Dancers Wanted: Square dancing seems to be very popular in rural areas and not so popular in urban areas. That can change, one couple at at time. If you are looking for a wholesome, fun, exhilarating and inexpensive way to learn to know new people and get some good exercise for the whole family, check out our schedule page and join us at the next square dance. New dancers are always welcomed, helped and taught; or, you can simply come to watch and enjoy the great dancing and music.
